We have made a series of maps of railroad routes that are mostly at a scale of 1:100,000. These are produced to fit on 8.5 in. x 11 in. pages. The map symbol for stations and sidings is also used to indicate the locations of non-railroad features and points of interest near the railroads.
We have also made a set of 1:500,000 scale maps of the railroads in our study area for Arch E (36 in x 42 in) plotters. Those are accessible on our web site through links in the Appendix.
On our maps, the mining districts of Nevada are from the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology Report 47. The mining districts of California are our own classification based on geography.
